What is the best thing about working at B2B International?
I love working through information to get the root of what all of it means. There’s something immensely satisfying about the pieces slotting in together to form a big picture.
What is the best advice you have ever been given?
This is one that I’ve come across fairly recently. It’s okay to swerve and go down a path you didn’t plan on. I grew up thinking everything in life could be planned and mapped out in advance but I’m seeing more and more that that’s just not the case.
What is your favourite place you have visited – and why?
I love visiting Paris for the food and the architecture. And like any capital city, it’s fast-moving and I love that.
What is your favourite book?
I read a lot so it’s really hard for me to pick just one. Of all time? The Edge Chronicles series by Paul Stewart which is a fantasy series that I subsisted on when I was younger. Right now? Becoming by Michelle Obama. She’s so honest throughout the memoir and I can relate to some of the things she’s experienced and some of the thought processes she’s had.
What is your favourite pastime?
Learning new languages. I’ve learnt French and I’m currently on Spanish but I have dabbled in Italian, Japanese, Welsh and Swedish too. It goes back to being able to put little pieces together to make a bigger picture; through the similarities and differences between languages, you can see the history of how people moved around the world and marvel at how many different forms of communication humans can come up with.
