At B2B International I wear many hats as my role spans resource management in its broadest sense.

What is the best thing about working at B2B International?

It’s probably a bit of a cliché but I enjoy the variety of my job and the flexibility my role offers.

What is the best advice you have ever been given?

You’re as good, if not better, than everyone else around you. Arguably it’s not true(!), but basically you shouldn’t be intimidated or even fooled by people who appear more knowledgeable; we all have our strengths and something worthwhile to offer.

What is your favourite place you have visited – and why?

Working at our Beijing office gave me the opportunity to see some amazing places that I had never been to before. If I had to single out any, I would have to say my favourite city is Hong Kong (a fascinating mix of East meets West) and my favourite overall holiday Australia – somewhere I would never have imagined I would get to, not least because 24 hours on a plane is not something that appeals to me!

What is your favourite book?

I don’t really have a favourite book because I think life’s too short to read the same book twice, but books that have made an impact on me, for a variety of reasons, include: Kane and Abel, Memoirs of a Geisha, Room, The Help and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.

What is your favourite pastime?

I love being out in the fresh air and being active (when I can muster up the energy!) but my favourite regular pastime, ironically, is an indoor sport – badminton. I embarrass myself weekly at this.
