Paul Hague is the CEO and founder of the B2B International group. He set up B2B International in 1998, and has directed its development into its status as the leading European business-to-business agency.

Throughout his career Paul has developed market research training courses for in-house and public use, trained more than 600 market researchers, and carried out over 2,500 market research projects. He is renowned worldwide as an expert in his field and is also a strategic marketing consultant to some of the largest US and UK industrial companies, including Dow Chemical and Dow Corning.

Paul is the author of a large number of leading market research white papers and publications - including the best seller "Market Research" published by Kogan Page. Other books include "The Industrial Market Research Handbook", "Market Research In Practice", "Questionnaire Design", "Interviewing", "Presentations And Report Writing" and "The Power Of Industrial Branding". His books have been translated into Chinese, Indonesian, Portuguese, Italian, Bulgarian and Polish.

In addition, Paul is a visiting fellow of Manchester Metropolitan University and guest lecturer at Manchester Business School. In the field of business-to-business market research, Paul is a world authority.

 

Matthew Harrison is Director of B2B International, and has worked for the company in both China and the UK. He is currently based in our North American office. He has 8 years' experience of business-to-business market research, and has conducted and managed business-to-business projects across numerous industries, including in aerospace, automotive, chemicals and petrochemicals, construction, education, engineering, financial services, food, IT, pharmaceuticals, telecoms and transport. His clients include the likes of Shell, UKTI, JohnsonDiversey, Vodafone, Orange and Univation.

Matthew has worked for numerous clients across Asia, with experience of market research and consultancy projects in China, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia.

He has written a number of white papers, including, 'Using Online Focus Groups', 'Business Research In China' and 'Marketing and Selling to Chinese Companies'.

Mark Hedley is B2B International’s Asia Business Development and Research Manager. Fluent in Mandarin, Mark has lived and worked in China for over six years, and currently divides his time between the Manchester, Beijing and Shanghai offices. Mark previously worked for a business consultancy firm in Shanghai, assisting European and American firms to research and enter the China market.

Mark has experience carrying out China market assessments for clients across a range of industries, including projects in the fine chemicals, engineering, education, agriculture, healthcare, food & beverage, construction, electronics, and telecoms sectors. His past clients include Air Products, Shell, International Paint, Tyco Electronics and Tribal Education.

Mark has on-the-ground experience carrying out business development in China for a range of clients, and has also carried out site selection projects for companies planning to set up production facilities in mainland China. He has a strong knowledge of the economic and regulatory challenges facing foreign companies when setting up in China, and has also recently co-authored a white paper titled ‘Marketing & Selling to Chinese Businesses’ with B2B Director Matthew Harrison.

Guan Jingyuan holds an undergraduate degree from Leicester De Montford University in the UK, where she studied finance & accounting. Prior to joining B2B International she worked for Shell at the company’s London headquarters.

Jingyuan is a skilled qualitative researcher, using desk resources and qualitative interviewing techniques to answer the key questions asked by her clients. She has undertaken research projects for a number of multinational clients across various different industry sectors. Her clients include the likes of Shell, Air Products, International Paint, HR Certification Institute, Etola and DSM, and she has experience researching the fine chemicals, education, agriculture, and renewable energy markets.

Jingyuan has a strong interest in the subject of how to adap qualitative and quantitative research techniques for the China research environment, and is also currently studying for an MRS certificate with the Market Research Society.
