Oliver Truman
Oliver joined B2B International full-time in 2007, after graduating from the University of Manchester in English Language and Linguistics. During the course of his degree studies, he pursued his interest in linguistics further by assisting with research into endangered languages of the Nepalese region and having a brief stint editing the Chambers dictionary.
Oliver started his B2B career in 2004 as part of the interviewing team, and has since progressed to the role of Research Manager, with special responsibilities for online operations. His duties include managing all manner of research projects from start to finish. These frequently involve a combination of online and offline data collection methods (both quantitative and qualitative), and the majority of these studies are international in nature. Some recent Clients he has worked with include Microsoft, Vodafone, OCR, Wickes, Travis Perkins and Akzo Nobel.
Away from work, Oliver is an avid follower of two of Britain’s favourite pastimes – Cricket and Football, and obsessively tracks Lancashire’s futile attempts to win the County Championship. Sadly, this enthusiasm for watching sport doesn’t always translate to the playing field itself, save for some occasional, decidedly inaccurate, medium-pace bowling.
As is de-rigueur for staff at B2B, Oliver has recently taken up long distance running, although often wishes he hadn’t, as he hobbles around B2B HQ after the latest injury! A keen traveller, Oliver has toured Europe extensively, sampling some the continent’s finest ales along the way. |
"We value their expertise in the B2B market. The understanding of the brief was excellent and the way in which it was carried out was exactly as we had imagined and hoped for. "
