		<description>Matt, I sympathize as I had similar experiences in Former Soviet Union (not on a rickshaw though!). 
I would add one point in your pricing research: the possibility to say &quot;no&quot;, or, in other words, the negociation side and negociation power. When in FSU, I did understand that, as a foreigner, I would pay more. I accepted that. But I did set a limit to the amount (the market research side you mention). And if the driver would take the risk of bringing me to a place (= deliver the sale) without negociating beforehand, then he did take an entrepreneurial risk on himself of losing negociation power: sometimes it worked for him, sometimes not. And specially not, no way, if I felt he was trying to rip me off. (All this just for the sake of the discussion, of course, I assume the amount was not huge in dollar terms anyway)</description>
